Our Story
Two friends, one land,
one passion.
Two friends running a small honey business in the mountains of Andalusia — guided by respect for nature and a commitment to purity.
Who We Are
Sierra Ronda's
finest honey.
We're two friends who run a small honey business together in Spain's Andalusia region, bringing the Mediterranean's finest Retama honey to tables around the world.
The apiaries sit at altitude in the Andalusian mountains, surrounded by wild Spanish broom — the Retama flower that gives our honey its rare, distinctive character.
While the bees thrive in southern Spain, we ship our natural, raw honey internationally — because exceptional taste knows no borders.

Our Philosophy
"We don't make honey — we simply get out of the way and let nature do what it has always done."
What We Stand For
Values we never
compromise on.
Rooted in Nature
Our bees forage freely across the Sierra Ronda mountains, producing honey shaped entirely by the land.
Uncompromised Purity
Never heated, never ultra-filtered. Every batch tested for pesticides and adulteration.
Passion & Craft
Two friends with a shared love for bees, land, and honest food — every jar reflects that dedication.
The Retama Flower
Honey born from
a rare bloom.
Retama — Spanish broom — blooms briefly each spring across the Andalusian highlands. Its golden flowers produce a nectar that is intensely aromatic, rich in natural compounds, and unlike anything found in commercial honey.
Because the flowering window is short and the terrain remote, Retama honey is produced in very limited quantities. Each jar represents weeks of patient work and a landscape that cannot be replicated.
Why Our Honey
What makes Retamahoney special.
Retama honey is produced from the nectar of the Retama shrub, native to the Mediterranean. Its rare origin gives it a unique profile of natural compounds found in few other honeys.
Rich in Antioxidants
Retama honey contains a broad range of antioxidants that help protect the body against oxidative stress, reduce inflammation, and support the immune system.
Antibacterial Properties
Natural enzymes and hydrogen peroxide in Retama honey inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria and fungi, making it a time-honoured remedy for skin and wound care.
Soothes Respiratory Issues
Its natural compounds help soothe irritated throat tissues and act as a gentle cough suppressant — comforting mixed with warm water, lemon, or herbal tea.
Nutritional Value
Beyond sweetness, Retama honey provides enzymes, vitamins, and minerals including calcium, potassium, and magnesium — a wholesome complement to a balanced diet.
Natural Energy Boost
The natural sugars in Retama honey are easily absorbed, providing a quick, clean source of fuel — ideal for athletes and anyone needing sustained energy.
